Communism

I guess you can never win when you are dealing with idiots. A few posts ago I said a few things that I assume have touched a nerve with folks. The I Have Been Thinking post was called an ode to hatred when it was simply a statement against communism. The day we start having our elected officials dictate how we feel about people is the day we stop being a Constitutional Republic and start in with communism. The COLD WAR is over, but you guys are starting communism all over again. Do we need the United States to turn into the USSR? It drives me crazy that people are so ignorant. Free thought is one of the first freedoms to go when you have a communist dictatorship in place. They do not want people thinking for themselves so there can be no political debate. Their power is in the complacency of the populace. Our country was founded on principles just the opposite of those. We have freedom of speech and freedom of the press so that we can talk about the wrongs and rights of our government. The really bad thing about this entire mess is that the ones hammering me for exercising my freedom of speech are the ones that enjoy this freedom the most, the press. The press in its many forms cannot stand for anyone, but them to enjoy the freedom of speech. Come on guys cut us little people some slack and let us enjoy our freedoms as you do yours.
